Ice Rinks
Ice rinks are a typical application for HB Group desiccant dehumidifiers. Ice rink buildings are cooled by the large surface area of the ice, which can lead to condensation on walls, ceilings and pipes etc. Only a low dewpoint of the air in the building can prevent the formation of fog in the atmosphere and condensation on these cold surfaces.
HB Group desiccant dehumidifiers are specifically designed for low dew point/low temperature applications. Both from a technical viewpoint and from an economical viewpoint, no other dehumidification system should be considered.
Specific to this application are units offering a high air throughput, but with generally reduced energy requirements. These machines are able to offer a high moisture removal for low energy input. For Ice Rinks, a condition of between 4 - 6°C dewpoint is recommended.
