Mark Rhodes - The Director (Sales, North)View All
As well as being the joint owner of dehum, I am responsible for supporting existing and new customers in the North, from our Glossop office.
From an early age, I was introduced to engineering by my grandfather, who was a precision engineer and tool maker with his own engineering company. My education was in Maths with Mechanics, however this led me into the banking industry first. I held several roles, which helped develop my analytical, management and human resource skills.
About 12 years ago, I was fortunate enough to move into engineering, where I have been designing humidity control and drying applications ever since.
My focus from the start has been to develop strong relationships, built on trust. I do this by understanding our Customers’ business, processes and needs in detail, as this is key to providing them with the most effective solutions. This allows us to base our decisions on psychometrics and experience of tried and tested methods.
The industries we support are diverse, however I have considerable knowledge of the food, pharmaceutical, nuclear and leisure industries. From nuclear storage and drying of material, to starch moulding and stove drying, I have designed systems that have reduced drying times from 5 days to 1.5mins.
I consider myself very fortunate to be working in a role I enjoy, with industries and applications that support manufacturing here in the UK as well as across the world.
Outside of dehum, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, eating out & socialising. I do try and fit in a bit of exercise as well, namely cycling and going to the gym.
